Since the M4 takes so many readings how far is actually needed to get a reading? When I break in a barrel I shoot a shot and go clean the barrel. I’m just shooting into a dirt pile I stand in front of, maybe 8-10 yards. I do this 5 times or so. I’m curious if this short distance is enough to gather some data?
